- Script was approved August 6, 1985 and final script revision took place November 11 1985.
- The script originally featured a sequence in which She-Ra had to battle a Lava Monster that guarded Horror Hall. The monster would have reused the character model of the Sludge Monsters seen in the He-Man and the Masters of the Universe episode Search for the Past.
- This story was released on VHS in the UK together with Something Old, Something New and Loo-Kee's Sweety.

- The castle where Prince Kevin's father rules was previously used as the city of Tahryn in the He-Man and the Masters of the Universe episode Song of Celice.
- The design of the giant spider that attacks Flutterina was originally used as Slush in the He-Man and the Masters of the Universe episode The Region of Ice.
- The animation of Mantenna falling down the trapdoor was previously seen in A Loss for Words, For Want of a Horse and Flowers for Hordak. It will be seen again in The Bibbet Story.
