A Very Hungry Dragonfly is the fourth episode of the second season of the animated television series He-Man and the Masters of the Universe and the fourteenth episode overall. It was released on March 3, 2022.
Synopsis[]
He-Man continues the search for Eldress. In pursuit of the final sigil piece, Evil-Lyn and Sorceress must join forces to defy a Havoc-fueled dragonfly.
Plot[]
Aboard Castle Grayskull, He-Man is training for his next fight with Skeletor. Unfortunately, the sword of power slips from his hands, and ends up edged into King Grayskull's portrait. Eventually, Teela is able to talk with Adam, and she reveals that Evelyn is making a play for the final sigil piece, and she is secretly following her. Adam asks who is watching his dad and Ork-O, to which Teela states that they are safe with Manny. But Adam doesn't know who that is, and is left even more confused after his conversation with Teela. However, he quickly catches on to Teela's plan which is that with all three sigil pieces, they can bait Skeletor, and in turn break his staff and save Eternos. She then orders Adam to get him and everyone else on the Wind Raider, and head to the coordinates she is about to send him.
In Eternos, Evelyn uses her magic to knock out some royal guards and she subsequently steals one of their vehicles.
Meanwhile Cringer and Duncan work on trying to bring back Eldress. While working on this, Duncan realizes that proto-havoc and Grayskull energy appear to be two sides of the same coin. He then explains to Cringer that all he has to do is trick the castle into thinking he's Eldress using the same power. Then, he can re-displace them, and scoop her back up from wherever they left her. Later, Adam explains that after talking with Teela, she let them know she needs back up in order to get to the final sigil piece before Evelyn does.
Elsewhere, Teela thinks she has managed to sneak up on Evelyn, but it turns out that what she was seeing was meerely a projection. The real Evelyn blasts her with magic, and taunts her by saying that having a team is making Teela soft. Evelyn further reveals that it was quite obvious that she was being tailed by Teela, who did a lousy job at covering her tracks.
Teela vows to not let Evelyn get away with a piece of the sigil. Evelyn then explains that the piece is gone, and presumably it got eaten. Not long after, Teela and Evelyn are both brought down on their knees when they attacked with a physic assault by a giant bug.
Meanwhile, Cringer tells Adam that Eldress is the closest thing that Teela has to family. Adam asks his feline companion, if he disagees with him not telling Teela about Eldress going missing.
Teela and Evelyn find themselves inside the giant bug's stomach. Eventually, Evelyn explains that the description of how Orko the Great used an artifact "swelling with ancient power" to help the Trollans ascend fit what they know about Sigil of Hiss. In order to get out of the giant Dragonfly, Teela uses the power of Grayskull to transform into The Sorcerers, and uses her magic to get out of the bug's stomach without harming it.
Evelyn uses her magic to make the dragonfly talk, and he explains that he ate the sigil piece on purpose and finally feels full. The Sorceress tries to extract the piece without harming him, but he swallows her staff, and she goes back to being Teela. She warns Evelyn to not try anything sneaky, but the villain admits that she has been weaker ever since Skeletor took the Havoc magic away.
As the two women are getting ready to sleep and recharge, Adam and Cringer finally arrive. She and Evelyn get abord the Wind Raider, and go looking for Gary. Eventually, Evelyn sneaks off and goes off to take the sigil piece from Gary by any means necessary. The two women then engages in an aerial fight with their respective magic.
Before Evelyn parts ways from Teela, she reveals that He-Man is lying to her.
Back on the ground, He-Man and Cringer manage to get the sigil piece from inside Gary. Cringer suggests that The Mystic Mountains might provide a more fertile feeding ground for the dragonfly.
Sorceress manages to send Gary away with her magic, and confronts He-Man about what happened to Eldress.
