Android Horses were a seen in He-Man and the Masters of the Universe.
Android Horses were designed and built by Man-At-Arms. They possessed the characteristics and manerims of actual horses, but would never grow tired and could therefore traverse great distances.
When Teela and Ileena took two Android Horses for a ride at the Geyser Field, they were startled to find the Geysers had become active again (in actuallity this was caused by Jarvan the Sorcerer). Reacting as normal horses would, Teela's horse inadvertedly threw her off. When Ileena dismounted to help her friend, both of the horses took off. Luckily the two women were soon rescued by He-Man and Battle Cat.
Prince Adam once left his cousin Jeremy in the care of Ram Man at the Royal Palace. Jeremy was allowed to ride an Android Horse, but not to use any of the vehicles. The Royal cousin soon grew tired of the Android Horse and began to force Ram Man to do humiliating tricks. He also defied Adam's orders by taking out a Sky-Sled. Later, when Jeremy's reckless actions caused Castle Grayskull to be in danger, he took an Android horse to follow He-man and Man-At-Arms who had taken a Batte Ram to Grayskull.
Android horses were also used in the cities of Operon and Targa when King Thales was escorted to the golden city by Gargons.
Behind the Scenes[]
One of the Android Horses was named Strider, however this is not the same character as the toy inspired Stridor.
