Barton is a character from the UK comic story "The Slave of Skeletor". He is an alien criminal, wanted on fifty-three deep-space worlds. He was being chased through space by the Interplanetary Lawmen. Skeletor is curious, and uses a spell to send the lawmen to a distant planet. Then he brings Barton's ship down to Eternia, and magically forces Barton to tell him about his invention. Barton reveals that he has a machine called the Cosmic Converter, which will make people obey every word the holder says. Skeletor and Stinkor steal the device, intending to use it on He-Man. Barton is sent back into outer space, where he is arrested.
