Beast Man as he appears in Masters of the Universe: Revelation.
Biography[]
Beast Man was was seen driving a Bashasaurus into battle when Skeletor's army of Skelcons launched a large scale attack on Castle Grayskull. The savage henchman grinned as he aimed the vehicle's enormous mace at Man-At-Arms during the battle, but was surprised when the mace failed to reach it's target as it was caught by He-Man, the most powerful man in the universe. He-Man reversed the mace's trajectory, causing the Bashasaurus vehicle to flip over and crash. Beast Man was thrown out of the drivers seat, but quickly got up and grabbed his whip. Before he could use it however, Beast Man was pinned to the ground by the mighty Battle Cat.[1]
Going Savage[]
Some years later, after magic had all but left the planet Eternia, Beast Man took on an even more feral look, discarding the spiked harness he usually wore. He swore to protect Evil-Lyn with his life and followed her everywhere she went, often keeping a fair distance and blending into the background so as not to alert anyone else to his presence.[2]
When Evil-Lyn joined Teela and Andra in their quest to find the two lost halves of the Sword of Power, Beast Man followed them in secret. During a skirmish against the cultists of Motherboard, the three women were tied up in electrical wire, and cult leader Tri-Klops told Evil-Lyn specifically that he would force her to merge with Motherboard. At that moment, Beast Man sprang into action, using his whip to grab one of the cultist by the neck, then grabbed and picked up another cultists who had tied Teela and Duncan, threw his victim at the cultist who had bound Andra, and jumped on the last cultist, who's wires held Evil-Lyn. Tri-Klops engaged Beast Man in a fistfight, but was clearly outmatched. Beast Man pinned Tri-Klops against one of the Motherboard vehicles and quipped "All those eyes and you still couldn't see me coming".
Tri-Klops countered that he had no quarrel with Beast Man, but the Savage Henchmen answered that anyone who threatened Evil-Lyn made an enemy of him. He then ordered Tri-Klops to leave, or face his death, strengthening his threat by invoking the bones of Skeletor.
When the warriors sought out Duncan out to ask him to help them find, then reforge the two lost halves of the Sword of Power, the former Man-At-Arms refused, not only because he was forbidden to do any metalwork by law, but also because he saw himself as unfit to offer any kind of services to anyone every again. However, Roboto, sharing all of the younger Man-At-Arms's memories, proposed to help forge the sword and help to recover the two halves in order to do so. This made Duncan change his mind, only for Teela to tell him that his skills would be of better use protecting the Sorceress at Grayskull who was now powerless to protect herself.
Orko, despite his weakened state, also insisted in going along on this one last adventure, and soon the band of warriors was sailing across the Crystal Sea on a seafaring vessel with Roboto at the helm. They found themselves under attack by the Aquaticans and their ravaged looking leader, Mer-Man. But Man-At-Arms appeared out of nowhere to save the group and force Mer-Man to show them the way to the gate of Subternia. Duncan left again, this time finally heading for Grayskull, and Evil-Lyn used the top of the Havoc Staff to open the gate to the land of the dead.[3]
In the Land of the Dead[]
Once inside, the group of warriors were split up and all had to face their greatest fears, some of them in familiar surroundings. Beast Man, Andra, and Roboto appeared to be in the remains of a battleground, where they spotted Shadow Beasts in the distance. As they were attacked by enemies, each one of them saw their opponents in a different way. Andra thought she was fighting zombies, while Beast Man only saw Fire Bats. Roboto however, was able to see through the deception and recognized their opponents as powerful Shadow Beasts. Andra used her mechanical know how to boost Roboto's power, allowing him to defeat the Shadow Beasts with a burst of blinding light.
The companions were reunited, having all defeated their fears. Evil-Lyn demanded that Teela give her the sword, so she could use it in combination with her wand and open a gateway to Preternia by calling upon the almighty Zoar with every last bit of magic she could conjure. But before they could pass through the gate, Scare Glow reappeared and caused stone tentacles to grow out of the ground and grab each of the Warriors by the leg and stalactites to drop from the cavernous ceiling. This time it was Orko who conjured up all the magic that still remained in him, but stopping the stalactites from falling and redirecting them at Scare Glow. While his friends and companions freed their legs, Orko used all the magic he had left to stop Scare Glow from advancing. Evil-Lyn attempted to help, but her wand was still not working. Beast Man picked her up and carried her trough the portal. Scare Glow was able to grab Orko's scarf, and both of them disappeared in one last explosion, leaving only a small scrap of Orko's garment to cross over into Preternia with the rest of them.[4]
In the Preternian afterlife, they were met by Adam, who was as surprised to see them as they were to encounter him. Adam willingly offered the travelers his half of the sword, and proposed that they ask He-Ro to reforge both halves into the Sword of Power. He then sought out King Grayskull during the Wild Hunt for information about a portal back to the land of the living hidden in Preternia's Grayskull Tower.
Andra came up with the idea to turn the entire tower into one large forge, as it's walls were constructed from the nearly indestructible ore called Eternium and Beast Man helped to attach large electrical cables to Roboto and four spires inside the hall, and Evil-Lyn powered his core with some of the last magic left in her wand so he could use it as a forge.
Roboto reforged the two halves of the sword, but his core exploded, leaving him terminally damaged. His sacrifice made Adam decide that he would not let any more of his friends die, and to return to Eternia, even if it meant that he would not be allowed into Preternia a second time.
Back on Eternia, the group arrived outside Castle Grayskull, which was under attack by Motherboard and being defended by Man-At-Arms. Teela handed Adam the reforged sword and he called upon the Power of Grayskull to restore the Orb of Power and all of Eternia's magic. Evil-Lyn was pleased to feel her power returning, and then surprised when Skeletor was also resurrected, having hid in an extremely hidden state inside the top of his Havoc Staff. Skeletor stabbed Adam in the back before Adam could transform into He-Man. Skeletor asked Evil-Lyn to rejoin him by his side, which she did, along with Beast Man. Skeletor then used the Sword of Power to take the power of Grayskull to become Skelegod. [5]
