The Brain Wave Detector is a devise used in the animated series The New Adventures of He-Man.
The Brain Wave Detector was an invention of the Tech Mutants on Skeletor's behalf; who claimed to have been waiting Centelks for it to be perfected.
The detector could pick up and analyse people's vibrations from miles away. Skeletor used it to make a reading of his arch enemy He-Man's brainwaves. Once he had this reading, he would be able to keep track of He-Man at all times.
However, Skeletor was surprised when the Mutants captured a group of Primans travelling aboard the Starship Eternia, He-Man was nowhere to be found, despite what the Detector indicated. Slush Head later accidentally destroyed the detector when transporting it to Skeletor.
