Cambro is a character from He-Man and the Masters of the Universe.
History[]
Cambro is a large humanoid that is either a human with gigantism or a giant.
As a young man, Cambro demonstrated exceptional intelligence and a gift for science. He graduated from the science academy at the age of 16, but by the time he was 20, he was widely feared and hated for his great size and intimidating appearance. He was forced to live as a hermit in the wilderness, learning the languages of wild beasts until he and Orko were captured by the Keeper and added to his menagerie. They were placed in a cage together, and when Orko tried to escape from it, Cambro warned him that the bars were electrified before he disintegrated himself. Orko used magic to slip between the bars and open their cage, then gave Cambro the tools he needed to turn the ship's intercom into a long-range radio and call for help. He-Man answered their distress call and released the other captive beasts, who Cambro warned not to spoil their freedom with hatred when they confronted the Keeper. He told He-Man, Orko, and Man-At-Arms about the discrimination he had suffered based on his appearance, and was deeply touched when Man-At-Arms offered him a position as his lab assistant.
