Ceril was the leader of a jungle tribe. He appeared in the classic DC Comics miniseries.
At one time, Ceril and his people enslaved by the sorcerer Damon. A young Prince Adam stumbled upon this fact and tried to help them. Then Zoar, the Goddess' messenger, approached him and Adam became He-Man for the first time. He defeated Damon, and since that day, a thankful Ceril and his people became loyal to the King.
He-Man recounted how he first met Ceril and his tribe to Battle Cat when they were searching Eternia's jungles for The Talismans Three. By good fortune Ceril knew the location of one of the amulets and was willing to guide him there. However, they had to face some demons before reaching their goal inside a cave.

- Ceril and his people were created as a way to recoincile the "He-Man from a jungle tribe" with the "Adam becoming He-Man" versions. Therefore, when He-Man leaves the tribe at the beginning of He-Man and the Power Sword, it's retconned as him finishing his visit rather than leaving his own tribe.
