Chief Merlo is a character from He-Man and the Masters of the Universe.
History[]
Chief Merlo is the leader of the Fantos tribe. He is friends with Man-At-Arms, and his daughter Podi is friends with Orko. He sent a message to Man-At-Arms notifying him that Rago was loose in the Vine Jungle and asking him to keep Podi at the Royal Palace, but did not realize that she had already been captured. Man-At-Arms went to meet him with He-Man and Teela, and the four of them left to catch Zegone and stop Rago. The chief's staff lost its magic when Rago stole the Moorfire Stones, but He-Man and his friends managed to stop Zegone and recover the stones, which Podi returned to their proper place.
