Collision Course is the 24th episode of The New Adventures of He-Man.

The plans for the Reverse Gravity Generator are stolen by BH and Staghorn (disguised as robots). Skeletor plans to use this machine to push Primus out of it's orbit.

Plot Summary[]

Gepple and Meldoc present a computer simulation to Master Sebrian, Mara and Gleep concerning the planetery shield of Primus. It is in danger of collapsing and the scientists have to turn it off in order to repair it. Luckily they have developed a Reverse Gravity Generator that will create a temporary negative forcefield to repell all Mutant attacks. Meldoc hands Gleep a box with all the instructions for this device, unaware that Skeletor is spying on their meeting through a spy camera hidden in a bust.

BH and Staghorn are ordered to steal disc containing the plans and are provided with robot disguises to accomplish this task. They find the disc unatended in the scientist's workshop, and when Gepple spots them, he instructs to deliver it to Krex. Staghorn and BH board Transport Flight 1138 and return to Denebria without much trouble. Meanwhile Gleep and UR discover the spy camera hidden in Sebrian's office after accidentally knocking over the bust.

Skeletor orders the Tech Mutants to create a version of the Reverse Gravity Generator that is a thousand times more powerful than the one the Primans are creating, and he wants it the same afternoon. Adam of Grayskull finds Caz pretending to pilot the Starship Eternia. Caz thinks his sheep herding job is for kids, but Adam reminds him that it is just as important as fighting the Evil Mutants.

The Tech Mutants have finished the device on time and Skeletor tests it out by blasting a barren ice planet out of it's orbit as instructed by Flogg. Master Sebrian instinctively feels that something is amiss in the Tri-Solar System. The Scientists inform Sebrian and Adam about the stolen disc, and are instructed to build a powerful version of their own to counter the Mutant's might. But Skeletor is already firing the newly named 'Repulsion Beam' at Primus, forcing it out of it's orbit and causing the weather to go haywire all over the planet.

Gleep and UR test the Reverse Gravity Device, but it only acts as a giant magnet, picking up Adam and the Scientists and pulling them towards the machine. Adam transforms into He-Man and prepares to leave for Denebria. Sebrian hands He-Man a Tracker so he can locate the Mutant's Gravity Generator. Just as he is about to leave, Galactic Guardians Sagitar, Spinwit and Tuskador apear on the ship's ramp and tell He-Man they are joining him. They use the stealth mode on the Starship Eternia to land on Denebria without being noticed.

The Guardians soon find the Generator, which is essentially an entire building. Skeletor welcomes He-Man and friends, puts on a party hat and announces that he will be pushing the planet Primus as part of a party game. Staghorn accidentally pushes a button that enlarges the gravity in the room to five time it's normal density, forcing everyone to crawl along the floor. He then manages to push another button that gives the room zero gravity and a fight erupts while everyone is floating in mid-air.

Back on Primus, Caz uses his staff as a lightning rod to dislodge a large boulder and save the valley in the Oasis from being flooded. He-Man grabs the controls of the Generator, but it does not have enough power left to return Primus back to it's original orbit. By Portable Vision Phone, Sebrian reminds him to use the power of the good. He-Man uses his Power Sword to recharge the machine, and it returns Primus to it's usual position. He-Man quickly replaces the generator's disc with that of the Scientist's version and the Guardians head for home.

Still wearing his party hat, Skeletor attempts once more to use the Generator on Primus but this time the machine acts as a giant magnet instead. Infuriated, Skeletor blasts the machine apart with his Skull Staff. Upon their return to Primus, He-Man praises Caz for his lightning reflexes and Meldoc is amazed to find Gepple agreeing with him for once.

Moral[]

While pretending to be He-Man, Caz accidentaly locks himself in an old trunk. The real He-Man gets him out and tells him to 'play safely by playing it save'.
