Dagar is a character from the animated series The New Adventures of He-Man.
Dagar was a wizard from an unrevealed planet and species. He was a good friend of his fellow wizards Zontos and Master Sebrian and used to be friends with Ramlin as well, but grew to distrust him when Ramlin turned to evil.
Master Sebrian invited Dagar to attend a Wizards's meeting on Primus and Dagar was glad to attend, but expresssed an immediate concern about the presence of Ramlin. And rightly so, as Ramlin visited Dagar in his sleeping chambers at night to challenge him to a magic duel. Dagar used his powers to animate the gargoyle statues on his bedposts, but realized to late that by having them attack Ramlin, he was allowing the evil wizard to absorb them as well as Dagar's powers.
The next day, Ramlin even went as far as to use a projection of Dagar and all of his magic abilities against Zontos and Sebrian, but when He-Man realized that the only way to defeat Ramlin was not to attack him with magic, Ramlin was defeated and was forced to release his hold over Dagar.
