Darius was a proposed character for the He-Man toyline.
He would have been the leader of the Galactic Council, and He-Man's mentor and closest ally on Primus. Due to problems with the action feature of his figure (a spinning mace), the Darius toy was cancelled, and his role in The New Adventures of He-Man animated series was taken by Master Sebrian.

Darius was a hardened battle commander who hailed from the planet Krayk. He had since relocated to Primus, where he served as a respected weapons inventor, master-at-arms, technician and the leader of Primus, representing them on the Galactic Council. Darius, along with his friend Icarius, travelled to Eternia to destroy Castle Grayskull, believing it to be the source of great trouble in their home galaxy; the Triax Star System.
Upon their arrival, they discovered that they had been tricked into believing Grayskull was a source of evil by Skeletor, who wished to steal the Starship Eternia as part of a plan to travel through the infinity barrier and conquer the planet Earth. Darius allied with He-Man to stop Skeletor, who travelled to the planet Denebria to ally with the Mutants, lead by Brakk. Darius became a close ally of He-Man and his guide in the Triax Star System.

Darius was the leader of the Galactic Council. As Mutant attacks on the planet Primus intensified, Darius saw that Brakk, the Mutant leader, was trying to keep the council divided, and sought out the help of his fellow council member, Nocturna, to calm the arguments between the various bickering factions. Darius had a vast knowledge of the myths and legends of the past, and knew of a great warrior; He-Man, who could be brought to the future to help Primus in its hour of need.
Preparing an advance Starship; the Eternia, Darius and Captain Icarius piloted the ship through the laser gate to the past and find the legendary hero who could save their planet. Unfortunately, they first found Skeletor, who tricked his way aboard the Eternia and escaped into the future. He-Man then joined them and returned to the future in pursuit of his old enemy, with the power of Grayskull transferring to Starship Eternia.
Darius used an energy mace in battle.

- Due to the fact that Darius's figure had made it to the prototype stage, he appeared on the cardbacks of early waves of the He-Man toyline and was adapted into the comic book stories by Ehapa and the UK annuals. He was also featured on the projection reel in the Nordor playset. Darius would eventually receive an action figure as part of the the Masters of the Universe Classics Toyline in 2016.
- In Filmation's He-Man and the Masters of Space pitch (before they closed buisness and the animated series was taken over by Jetlag productions), Darius was the father of the Sorceress of Castle Grayskull.
