Dreadator is a character in the animated series The New Adventures of He-Man.
Dreadator was a gladiator who thought of himself as the most powerful warrior in the galaxy. He had won 342 straight victories on 89 planets in the Rorkus Galaxy when Skeletor and Flogg attempted to recruit him to the Mutant space force. He refused, stating that he worked alone. Instead, Skeletor tricked him into traveling to Primus and challenging He-Man. Though he proved to be a formidable opponent, Dreadator was ultimately defeated by He-Man. Before he left, Dreadator stated that He-Man had earned his respect.
Dreadator could project lasers from his eyes and possessed the power to cloak himself and completely blend into his surroundings, making him appear to be invisible. However, when he moved, a slight shimmering effect was visible in the air by which people could indicate something was there. He was also able to use the beams from his eyes to turn another living being into a stone statue and back. His incredible speed and strength rivaled He-Man’s. His ship appeared to share his power of invisibility, although it is unclear if this was built into the design or if it was Dreadator himself who used his powers to cloak his vehicle.
