History[]
Fire Bats were vicious, dangerous creatures with flaming bodies and sharp teeth. The appeared as a representation of Beast Man's fears after he entered Subternia, the Land of the Dead. But in reality, these creatures were not Fire Bats at all, but Shadow Beasts, who could take on any form based on it's opponents fears in the land of the dead.[1]
