The Gem of Life is a magical green-gem artifact that King Randor gives to a different Eternian farmer, to guard, every year during the Spring Festival to ensure that all Eternian farmers have a bountiful harvest that year.
The gem only works when held by a good-hearted man. Though Skeletor hope that the powers would be reversed if held by a being with an evil heart, such as himself.
