George Takei (Born Hosato Takei) is an American actor, activist and author, who portrayed Mer-Man in the 2021 Netflix series He-Man and the Masters of the Universe.

Takei is best known for his work as Hikaru Sulu, the helmsman of the USS Enterprise in the original series of Star Trek (1966-1969). He would go onto reprise this role in other medias of Star Trek, including the film series and even guest star on Star Trek: Voyager, as well as Star Trek: Lower Decks. He also portrayed Kaito Nakamura on the series Heroes (2007-2010).
