Jaymar is a minor character in He-Man and the Masters of the Universe.
History[]
Jaymar was a villager who lived nearby the city of Eternos with his wife Bran and his father Old Zak.
Their house burned to the ground during a mighty thunderstorm that was brought forth by the power of the Spellstone. However, an elderly woman named Zenia (actually a disguised Evil-Lyn) blamed King Randor and Man-At-Arms for experimenting with his new Weather Controling Satellite. This despite the fact that Man-At-Arms and Teela were trying to control the fire with firefighting equipment. Zenia told the villagers that Man-At-Arm's inventions had angered the Elders of Eternia and caused the storm. She said the Royal Family had to be punished.
Jaymar was quick to believe her, even though Old Zak was hesitant. Zenia inquired what was the worst punishment in ancient times and Old Zak replied it was the Creeping Horak. When Jaymar asked his father if he knew where to find the Horak, Zak admited that he did, and Zenia demanded to be taken to it.
Shortly afterwards, A mob of villagers led by Zenia stood in front of the Royal Palace, with Old Zak holding the Creeping Horak in a small box. He refused to give it to her, but after Teela revealed Evil-Lyn's true identity, she grabbed the box from Zak and threw it at the palace wall, unleashing the beast inside.
While the Royal Family was fleeing for their lives inside the palace, Skeletor and Trap Jaw arrived on the scene, carrying the Spellstone. Jaymar accused Skeletor of having tricked them and told them he wouldn't get away with it. When He-Man and several Heroic Warriors joined them, Evil-Lyn unleashed the power of the spellstone on him. Feeling guilty, Bran concluded it was all their fault, so Jaymar decided to do something to help. The younger man grabbed Evil-Lyn and Zak took the Spellstone from her, stopping the raging storm. He-Man concluded that "a person doesn't need superpowers to be a hero, all he needs, is bravery."
