King Miro is the father of Randor and the paternal grandfather of Prince Adam and Adora.
Biography[]
In the Filmation animated series, Miro ruled as the king of Eternia until he mysteriously disappeared, forcing Randor to take up the crown. Decades later, Miro was found and rescued, but he declined to resume his royal duties so he could learn about how the world had changed in his absence. While Randor reigns as monarch and is responsible for being Eternia's head of state, his father is still called "King Miro" and recognized as a Father-King.
Keldor/Saryn[]
DC Comics 2012 (See Beyond New52 continuity)[]
In some of the later iterations for Masters of the Universe, King Miro sired Keldor with the witch Saryn (2012-2016 DC Comics). In those comics Saryn made Miro fall in love with her when he crashed to the island she was staying. Then later married Randor's mother and fathered Randor.
Revolution #3 (see Revolution continuity)[]
In the third issue of the 2024 series from Dark Horse, King Miro is lost at sea, and it is revealed he sired Keldor with Saryn, even brought him to the Royal Palace for a time, until he dispatched Keldor to Anwat-Gar. There Saryn raised the boy with the knowledge that he was denied of his birthright.
In the story Saryn was trying to trick Keldor into murdering Hordak. So she made him appear as a chained up Miro on a wall before Keldor. Keldor didn't fall for it, and Hordak broke free from the spell moments after.
