Kowl as seen in the Filmation animated series She-Ra: Princess of Power.
Personality[]
He is something of an acerbic, sarcastic character who is a constant companion of the members of the Great Rebellion. Kowl tends to serve as comic relief as he is often cracking jokes and making slightly rude, piercing observations about the events unfolding around him.
He is sometimes portrayed as having a cowardly side, not unlike Cringer. In his first appearance during The Secret of the Sword, he joins Cringer in hiding under a table while a battle takes place.
Kowl is one of only four Etherians who is aware that Adora and She-Ra are the same individual, the other three being Light Hope, Madame Razz and Loo-Kee. By extencion, Kowl also knows that Adora's twin brother Adam and He-Man are the same individual.
History[]
Bow and Kowl were already part of the growing Rebellion against the Horde when they spotted a stranger and a green tiger enter the Laughing Swan Inn in Thaymor. Bow wondered if it could be a spy, but Kowl pointed out that the stranger was smiling, and a Hordesman only smiled when doing something awful. Soon, the stranger got in trouble with three Horde Troopers, and while Bow came to the young man's aid, Kowl hid under a table with the stranger's pet tiger. After the fight, Bow invited the young man, Adam, and his pet to join him and Kowl in Whispering Woods.[1]
