Krytis is a planet visited in the 1985 animated series She-Ra: Princess of Power.

She-Ra: Princess of Power[]

Krytis, sometimes spelled Krietus, and occasionally pronounced as Kyrtis or Kiertus, was a planet affiliated with the Evil Horde. Hordak would occasionally banish prisoners to the mines of Mondor where they would be put to work mining dangerous minerals. Many of the prisoners became ill when exposed to said minerals.

It is unknown exactly how far away Krytis was located from Etheria, but Hordak was able to comute between the two planets using a large Horde Flyer. Members of the Great Rebellion took another path to travel to Krytis: they used the Dimensional Gate.

The planet was populated by humans and some troll like people, although they may have been immigrants. Fauna included large, horned, pterosaur-like birds.

Notable Locations[]

  • Graydor - a seaport
  • Mondor - an island where slaves are put to work in mines

Trivia[]

  • King Duplis says his son has been taken to a planet named 'Kyrtis', but later Queen Angella and all the other characters refers to it as 'Krytis'.
  • Although part of the Horde Empire, the planet Krytis does not appear on the map Known Planet Systems in the Horde Empire from the notes of Zodac Zur and Teela'Na that was released as part of the Masters of the Universe Classics line.
  • A different version of Krytis appears in the 2020 episode of the Netflix series She-Ra and the Princesses of Power titled Shot in the Dark. This planet was not taken over by The Horde because of powerful magic forces present there. In retaliation, the Horde turned the planet into a barren wasteland.
