The Manticore is a lion-like creature that appears in various versions of the MOTU franchise.
Original Minicomics[]
In the minicomic Dragon's Gift, the Manticore is guarding Skytree. Its tail seemingly has a poison stinger. He-Man defeats the Manticore by grabbing it by the tail and throwing it.
He-Man and the Masters of the Universe (1983)[]

In the Filmation version of The Dragon's Gift, the Manticore is replaced by Tullamore. However, a Manticore appears in Orko's Favorite Uncle when a lightning storm disrupted by Tauron's summoning spell traps Adam, Cringer and Orko in its cave. Thankfully, Adam manages to transform into He-Man and knocks the Manticore out by throwing it into a wall, then punches his way out of its cave and blocks the entrance with a boulder before the Manticore can follow them.
Masters of the Universe: Revelation[]

At least one Manticore was brutally attacked and turned inside out by Savage He-Man.
