Production[]

The sequel series to Masters of the Universe: Revelation was officially greenlit in June of 2022. Kevin Smith signed on again as the executive producer and showrunner. Mattel and Powerhouse Animation Studios both signed up to produce.^[2]

Casting[]

In July 2022, Kevin Smith disclosed that William Shatner had been selected for a role in the sequel series.^[3] In March 2023, it was declared that Melissa Benoist would take over the role of Teela, replacing Sarah Michelle Gellar.^[4] In May 2023 it was unveiled actress Meg Foster would be the voice behind Motherboard. In July 2023, Smith revealed that Keith David would voice the character Hordak. In January 2024, it was disclosed that Gates McFadden and John De Lancie would be joining the series, with De Lancie taking on the role of Granamyr.^[5]
