Netherbats are creatures featured in He-Man and the Masters of the Universe.
Netherbats were creatures that followed the commands of Darkdream. He had previously used them during his attempt to gain command of the Royal Palace of Eternos. When Darkdream's powers returned, Teela began having nightmares in which she was being chased by Netherbats.
Later, as Darkdream grew even more powerful and was able to leave the Chamber of Darkness after Tavor caused an eclipse of the sun, several Netherbats were deployed at Castle Grayskull to capture Zoar the falcon. However, Darkdream was unaware that Zoar was actually the alter ego of the Sorceress of Castle Grayskull, and he wondered why she did not show herself to opose him.
When He-Man managed to put the Eternian moon back to it's regular orbit, Darkdream was vanquished by the sun and his Netherbats went with him, implying that these creatures also have an aversion to sunlight.
