The Octabeast is a minor character in He-Man and the Masters of the Universe.
History[]
The Octabeast was a very dangerous creature kept in a dungeon at Snake Mountain under the control of Beast Man. An eleborate trap was laid by Skeletor to first lure Prince Adam and then He-Man into the waiting tentacles of the Octabeast that involved kidnapping Cringer and using him as bate.
However, when He-Man came to rescue Adam's 'fearless' friend, Cringer showed an unexpted amount of courage and managed to warn He-Man of the trap door that led to the Octabeast, thereby avoiding the trap. Unfortunately, Teela was not as lucky. She fell into the trap and was grabbed by one of the Octabeast's tentacles.
It remains unclear what happened to her after the creature got hold of her, but soon afterwards Beast Man had ordered the beast to let go of her so he and Evil-Lyn could chain Teela to a wall.
