The Pool of Power is a location that features in He-Man and the Masters of the Universe by Filmation.
History[]
Located within the ancient halls of Castle Grayskull, the site served as a repository of power on Eternia and was protected by the Sorceress of Castle Grayskull. In the distant past, the Sorceress Kuduk Ungol had maintained a long tenure as custodian of the Castle. As she grew old, she sought to install a replacement before she passed away. A young woman known as Teela Na came searching for Grayskull in order to save her village from the threatening wizard Morgoth. Ungol allowed Teela Na entry and offered her the power needed to save her village, in exchange for the price of becoming the new Sorceress of Castle Grayskull. Upon accepting the offer, Teela Na entered the Pool of Power so the fortress could determine whether she was worthy of the role. Castle Grayskull ultimately accepted Teela Na and suffused her with magic, including the ability to transform into the falcon Zoar, and she was bestowed the new Sorceress of Castle Grayskull.
