The Power Sword as it appears throughout DC storylines and mini-series.
The Power Sword consisted of two halves. Only the one who possesed both halves could combine them and use them to enter into Castle Grayskull. The Goddess, who did not reside at Grayskull itself, was charged to keep the two halves out of evil hands. Despite of this, Skeletor managed to get his clawed hand on one half, and learned that the other half was hidden on Earth. After being foiled by Superman, the two halves were housed within Grayskull itself. Skeletor managed to gain possession of them once more, and was almost victorious, until Zoar snatched the sword out of his hands. The Goddess then swore to hide the two halves elsewhere.
