Prince Adam or Adam is the prince of Eternia, he is the current holder of The Power Sword that contain the power of Grayskull. He is the protagonist of the 2002 remake of Master of the Universe, He-Man and the Masters of the Universe.

Biography[]

History[]

A teenaged Adam was brought to Castle Grayskull by Man-At-Arms on his birthday, where the Sorceress told him of the prophecy that foretold of He-Man. Given the story at first, Adam believes Man-at-Arms is He-Man, and praises his worth before the Sorceress. The Sorceress admires Adam's humility, but says he is destined to fulfill the prophecy. Adam scoffs at this, believing himself unfit for such a mantle. After events come to pass, Adam realizes that the prophecy is true and returns to accept the power and duty when Skeletor attacks his people and kidnaps his father.

After this time, Adam regularly has the freedom to temporarily become He-Man whenever trouble arises. When he changes into He-Man, he also points the Sword of Power at his reluctant large green cat named Cringer, who subsequently becomes He-Man's sidekick Battle Cat.

Besides Cringer, there are only four others who know the true identity of He-Man: Man-At-Arms, Orko, the Sorceress, and Zodak.

2002 series[]

Once the spoiled yet carefree prince of Edenia, Adam is the desendant of the great King Grayskull who is known to have battled Skeletor years ago. After learning that the sorceress is returning from it tomb, Adam acknowlegdes the only way to stop him is to become the great destinied warrior He-man. However, the young prince refused this power and returns home to find the palace in ruins, and that Skeletor's forces have captured his father.

Adam, Man-At-Arms, and Teela pursue Randor's kidnappers into the forests, where they are ambushed. Adam is covered by Man-At-Arms as he returns to Grayskull, followed by his pet tiger Cringer, and the court magician Orko. His flight through the forest infuriates Teela, who only sees a coward leaving the scene of battle.

Now facing his destiny, Adam accepted the power and take the Sword of Power, becoming the heroic He-man. He turn Gringer to Battlecat as the two now return to the kingdom to rescue their family and friends.
