The Rainbow Explorer was a manned spacecraft launched from Earth. It was piloted by astronaut Marlena Glenn; however, the spacecraft was caught up in a Cosmic Storm and was forced to land on Eternia.
Acording to the 1982 Masters of the Universe Series Bible, it was referred to as a space shuttle, originally bound for Jupiter's natural satellite Europa but instead ended up crash-landing on Eternia.[1]
