The Royal Palace of Eternia, sometimes referred to as Palace Eternia is the central seat of power for the royal family and the Eternian government. It is located in the city of Eternos.
The palace figures prominently in many episodes of He-Man and the Masters of the Universe, and is often the first location seen in many episodes. It is located in the city of Eternos, near Mount Eternia, and seems to sit on the edge of a large cliff. The exterior of the palace is circular, and it has a similar appearance to a large dome with sections that bear some resemblance to spokes of a wheel. The palace and the surrounding city all seem to be built in generally the same style, though there seem to be traces of ancient architecture near the palace as well. The entire complex has an orange-ish hue, like terra cotta.
A number of notable facilities exist in the palace, some of which include the following:
- The storage bay for various vehicles and weapons.
- The royal courtyard
- The Throne Room
- The Royal Banquet Hall
- The Royal Kitchen headed by Chef Alan.
- The palace dungeon, located beneath the palace, now rarely used.
- The modern palace cells, located in towers controlled by the Royal Guards.
- Man-At-Arms' Laboratory
- Training facilities for the Royal Guard.
- The Royal Library
- Adam's bedroom
- Orko's bedroom
- Various museums including the Hall of Kings.
- The offices of Melaktha, the royal archaeologist.
- The energizer chamber. (This is located beneath the palace, and is essentially the power plant for all of Eternia, except the territories of the villains.)
- The Royal Zoo.
The residents of the palace include Prince Adam, King Randor, Queen Marlena, Man-At-Arms, Teela, Orko, Cringer, Chef Alan, and the Royal Guard. Ram Man is often seen at the palace, though it is unclear if he resides there.
It is often the target of attacks by Skeletor, either for the purpose of striking at the royal family or to distract the Heroic Warriors while he pursues some other plan.
