The Royal Palace of Eternos as it appears in Masters of the Universe: Revelation.

The city of Eternos was the site of the ruling council of the planet Eternia, ruled over by King Randor and his wife Marlena. However, the real seat of power in this realm of magic and technology was actually Castle Grayskull.

History[]

Some time before the events of Revelation, King Randor was unable to sleep because of a foreboding feeling he had. Although the evil Skeletor had not been heard off for some time, Queen Marlena was unable to comfort her husband. That very night, the mythical Orlax of Primeria suddenly appeared inside the palace of Eternos, touched the king and send him into a deep coma.[1]

Some time later, the King and Queen were presiding over a festive occasion at the palace: Teela was about to be promoted to the status of Man-At-Arms. A grand night of festivities were planned, which started with elaborate fireworks. According to the King, there was not a single Eternian in his kingdom who did not enjoy such a show of splendor. Unfortunately, during the ceremony, Teela, the original Man-At-Arms, Duncan and the entire Royal Guard were called away to defend Castle Grayskull from the evil forces of Skeletor.

After the battle, Teela and Duncan returned with grave news: in order to defeat Skeletor, Eternia's champion He-Man gave up his own life. Marlena knew that this meant that her son was dead, but Randor was still unaware of Adam's secret identity as He-Man. Upon learning the truth, Randor felt betrayed by Duncan, stripped him of his title and banished him from Eternos on the spot. Teela, who felt equally betrayed and lied to by everyone she held dear, also decided to leave the Royal Palace.[2]
