The Snake Mountain as it appears in Masters of the Universe: Revelation.

History[]

The Snake Mountain was the stronghold of Skeletor and his evil warriors. Many battles were fought in and around this location. Teela was once reminded of a time when she fell into the trapdoor beneath the entrance to Wolf Gate, but managed to climb out of the net which had caught her by grabbing the reptilian tail of Whiplash, who for some reason was taking a nap next to the open trap. When she emerged back on top, Teela was met by He-Man and the two warriors teamed up to defeat Whiplash, who had awakened.

Some time later, after magic had all but left Eternia and Skeletor and He-Man were thought to be dead, another of the Evil Warriors, Tri-Klops took advantage of the situation by condemming magic alltogether and became a leader in the cult of Motherboard. Ironically, Tri-Klops used one of the few remaining magic items left on the planet to perform the ritual miracles of Motherboard. During this ceremony, Tri-Klops would catch electronic looking water that sprang from a large altar inside Snake Mountain in a magic goblet and force his followers to drink it. By doing so, they would instantly transform into cyborgs, with various limbs being replaced by mechanical weapons.

Trap Jaw and Whiplash both joined Motherboard and received mechanical enhancements (in the case of Trap Jaw, further enhancements). They were also joined by the robotic Blast-Attak.

When the two mercenaries Teela and Andra were hired by an old lady who called herself Majestra to steal the magic goblet, they entered Snake Mountain by breaking through the walls of the trap door beneath Wolf Gate. Teela was surprised to find Snake Mountain filled with much more technology and the halls being patrolled by Tri-Klops' Doomseekers. The two women infiltrated the Motherboard ceremony dressed in pilgrim robes. After watching a pilgrim receive the mechanical blessing, Teela revealed herself, to distract the cultists from Andra as she moved towards the goblet.

Teela was attacked by the cultist, Whiplash and Blast-Attak, who had trouble keeping his electronic time bomb from going off. When Teela spotted a young girl, she wanted to get her out of there, but the child had already been enhanced and corrupted by Motherboard. Andra grabbed the goblet and used throwing stars to come to Teela's aid, but found herself facing Trap Jaw, whom she defeated with a mechanical arm Teela had severed earlier. After making sure that Blast Attak was unable to stop himself from exploding, the two warrior women left the throne room. The explosion knocked out Whiplash, but Tri-Klops ordered the Doomseekers and even more cultists to go after the women. In the lower depths of Snake Mountain, Teela and Andra passed several pools that housed large tentacle monsters, which conveniently grabbed some of the cultists but did not touch the heroines, who quickly reached another exit and escaped.[1]
