The Tech Mutants are minor characters that appear in the animated series The New Adventures of He-Man.
History[]
The Tech Mutants are Flogg’s scientists, inventing new machines and devices for the Mutants to use in their war against Primus. Usually, Skeletor was able to create his own machines, or steal them from others, but the Tech Mutants also worked on technology for Flogg.
There are two tech Mutants, one short and one tall. Their real names were never revealed, and on the one occasion they were about to reveal them, Skeletor interrupted, saying ‘Never mind you can tell me later’.
The Tech Mutants created the Brain Wave Detector, which Skeletor claimed to have been waiting Centelks to be perfected. The detector could pick up and analyse people's vibrations from miles away. Skeletor used it to make a reading of his arch enemy He-Man's brainwaves. Once he had this reading, he would be able to keep track of He-Man at all times.
Using plans created by the four Scientists of Primus for a device called the Reverse Gravity Generator, the Tech Mutants converted an entire building on Denebria into a giant Gravity Generator that Skeletor could use to push the planet Primus out of it's orbit.
Perhaps their most notable creation was the Dream Explorer, a device which allowed its user to enter the Dream Dimension, which the mutants used to attack the Inner Council on Primus.
