A brief time wrinkle allowed the Sorceress to send Teela into the future to help He-Man cure his homesickness for Eternia. But Teela had to be in Grot's Garden before the Dragon Iris bloomed, or she would be unable to return to her own place and time.
Behind the Scenes[]
Teela's one appearance in the The New Adventures of He-Man series is a rare reference to the vintage toyline and Filmation series. However, she bears no resemblance to her previous versions, being portrayed with long blond hair (as featured in the very first mini-comic) instead of red hair. She wears a pink leotard, rather than the usual white one.
Since She Ra was originally intended to appear in The New Adventures of He-Man, it is possible that her role and design was recycled for Teela.
