Diamond Ray 200X

200X version

The Diamond Ray of Disappearance was a powerful magic artifact that played an important part in one episode of He-Man and the Masters of the Universe and made a cameo appearance in one episode of the 2002 He-Man and the Masters of the Universe series.

Filmation[]

The Diamond Ray of Disappearance was considered to be lost until it somehow ended up in the possession of Skeletor. It had the power to make any living being that looked at it to be exiled into another dimension. Therefore, it could not be held by anyone and had to be kept safe in a small box.

Skeletor gathered his greatest evil warriors from around the universe at Snake Mountain and asked if any one of them would volunteer to be a test subject. When none complied, the Lord of Destruction used the diamond ray on a caged lizard.

After fighting their way into the Royal Palace of Eternos, Skeletor used the ray to quickly exile Zoar the falcon, Man-At-Arms and the King and Queen to the timeless dimension.

Only He-Man was able to free them, by crushing the diamond with his bare hands without looking at it for too long, or else he would be exiled as well.

2002 Mike Young series[]

In the 2002 animated series, the Evil Warriors were looking for the Diamond Ray of Disappearance, which was said to be able to eradicate anything in it's path. It had been hidden in an ice cave by the Council of Elders for safekeeping. He-Man managed to destroy it before Skeletor could take possession of it.

Masters of the Universe: Revolution[]
