The Gutter Rat is the eighth episode of the animated television series Masters of the Universe: Revelation. It was released November 23, 2021.
Synopsis[]
As Evil-Lyn begins to doubt Skelegod's motives, she recalls how she first met the power-mad tyrant and ultimately decides to make an unexpected move.
Plot[]
Randor and Adam talk, with Adam discussing how Teela brought him back from death using her magical abilities. Randor tells Adam that he holds no grudge towards Teela or Adam for anything they did, and thanks them — along with Cringer — for everything they did to save them at Grayskull.
Randor is introduced to Andra, who offers her anythingshe wants as a thank you for bringing Adam back to him. Randor makes Andra a lieutenant in the Royal Guard and welcomes her to the fight.
Queen Marlena arrives promptly at the Palace and it becomes clear that the relationship between herself and Randor has broken down in Adam's absence. An emotional reunion between Marlena and Adam ensues.
Back at Castle Grayskull, Duncan is attempting to soothe the Orlax of Primeria, previously injured by Skelegod. Evil-Lyn visits him and the two talk about power and the feeling of losing this. Duncan makes it clear that power means nothing to him. Duncan asks why Evil-Lyn hasn't acted with her newfound abilities yet, and reminds her that Skelegod only has the power she allows.
Marlena and Adam talk about the tensions between herself and Randor, and Marlena explains that Randor blamed her for keeping Adam's true identity a secret. Marlena explains that she was heading back to Earth before being sent to Point Dread to prepare for war.
Skelegod is angry at Adam's ability to call the power of Grayskull and quickly becomes concerned that Evil-Lyn isn't paying him enough attention. He shows her the enitre cosmos and explains the goal of ruling it all, but Evil-Lyn is becoming increasingly concerned.
Duncan is given a glimpse into the history of Evil-Lyn and how she was saved by Skeletor after becoming homeless, and it becomes clear that she doesn't like Skeletor but is repaying the debt. Duncan tries to convince her to leave Skelegod but it becomes clear that she has something more important up her sleeve.
In an attempt to see her plan unravel, Evil-Lyn takes the Sword of Power from Skeletor, by making him depower. She then calls upon the power of Grayskull, becoming God-Lyn and destroying Preternia in her first address to the people of Eternia. In a shocking twist, Skeletor visits Adam and the others at Point Dread.
