The New Adventures of He-Man is a brand that began in 1989. It was designed to be an update of the popular Masters of the Universe toyline, which had been discontinued as of 1987. The brand began as a toyline, simply called He-Man, and a cartoon series followed entitled The New Adventures of He-Man.
