The New Wizard in Town is the 40th episode of The New Adventures of He-Man.
Master Sebrian is hosting a Wizard's meeting on Primus. One of his guests, Ramlin, plans to add the other wizard's powers to his own. Even Skeletor knows well enough not to mess with Ramlin.
Plot Summary[]
Artilla, Hydron and He-Man are patroling the Oasis from the air in Battle Birds to make sure the area is secure for an upcoming meeting of the wizards. Ramlin the Magician is on his way to Primus accompanied by his robot assistant Lore. He feels none of the other wizards can match him, except for Master Sebrian. His ship is attacked by the Mutant Mothership for violating Nordor airspace. Skeletor and Ramlin immediately recognize each other once they catch sight of each other on their respective viewscreens. Flogg orders to launch a squadron of Shuttle Pods against the wizard, but Skeletor decides not to particpate and heads back to Nordor in a pod of his own. Ramlin casts a freezing spell that creates a snowstorm on the bridge of the Mothership, freezing all the Mutants where they stand.
Later, Ramlin is entertaining Mara and Caz in Master Sebrian's Home by turning three fruits into small replica's of the Priman suns. Dagar and Zontos, the other two Wizards whom Sebrian had invited arrive, and Dagar immediately makes it clear that he does not trust Ramlin at all. That night, Ramlin orders Lore to activate a Zone of Silence so that no one else can hear anything outside of their rooms. Ramlin then visits Dagar in his guest bedroom and challenges him to a magic duel. Dagar makes the gargoyles statues on his bedposts come alive, but Ramlin absorbs them into his own body, taking Dagar's magic with it.
The next day Zontos and Sebrian fear something evil is behind Dagar's disappareance. When Ramlin arrives, Zontos accuses him of casting a spell on Dagar. Ramlin replies by conjuring up Dagar by magic and having him face his old friend Zontos. He then releases Dagar's Guardians and has them attack the Galactic Guardians who were there for protection. Zontos tries to stop Ramlin but has his magic power absorbed by him as well.
Ramlin challenges He-Man to attack him with his magic sword and the power of the good. But He-Man and Sebrian realize in time that Ramlin can only absorb another's power while he is being attacked, so they decide not to. Ramlin retreats, promising he will be back another day and releases the other two wizards from his power. Ramlin retreats to the dark side of moon Nordor, from which nothing has ever been known to return.
