The Pearl is one of the six known Runestones in Etheria. Also known as the Salinean Runestone, The Pearl is located in Salineas where it powers the magical Sea Gate that protects Salineas' port. The Pearl currently belongs to Mermista, Princess of the Seas and is the source of her powers.
History[]
The Pearl was created by The First Ones and placed in Salineas to power a magical barrier known as the Sea Gate which protects the Salinean port. For centuries, the runestone remained active.
Shortly after Princess Mermista took over the rule of Salineas from her father the Sea Gate began to weaken because it was loosing its connection to The Pearl, the source of its power.
While attempting to recruit Mermista to the Princess Alliance, Adora, Glimmer, Bow, and Sea Hawk arrived in Salineas with an offer to have She-Ra repair the Sea Gate. Using the Sword of Protection, She-Ra was able to successfully repair the Sea Gate.
