Behind the Scenes[]
- Script was approved November 16, 1984 and final script revision took place March 7, 1985.
- Adora does not appear in this episode. She is in She-Ra form for the entire duration.
- Before transforming into He-Man, Adam originally had more dialogue: "I can see that if I'm going to be of any use her... I'll have to become He-Man!" Only the latter part of the dialogue ended up being used.
- This episode marks the only instance of one of the main characters being referred to by their true identity while transformed (She-Ra calling He-Man 'Adam' when it seems like he's been killed by the cave-in).
- Writer Bob Forward planned to reuse the majority of the battle footage seen after Adam travels to Etheria in a war-themed episode named The Silaxian Wars, a sequel to the episode Huntara. However, this story never went into production.
Continuity[]
- The shot of She-Ra cradling Prince Adam on the ground was previously used in the He-Man and the Masters of the Universe episode The Littlest Giant, in which it was Teela cradling He-Man. Before that it was seen in The Cosmic Comet, with Teela craddling Prince Adam.
- The sequence of She-Ra and He-Man lifting the water tower would appear again at the start of The Inspector.
- The sequence of She-Ra holding her sword with both hands and chopping it down in front her of is seen again in Anchors Aloft, Part 1.
- The sequence in which She-Ra transforms her sword into a shield will be seen again in The Unicorn King.
- The mines of Dryl are mentioned again in the She-Ra and the Princesses of Power episode System Failure.
Errors[]
- When He-Man takes a running leap to land on Swift Wind's back, he is holding his sword in his left hand. In the next shot, it is in his right.
- The floor of the Command Crawler's cockpit is different between shots depending on whether Mantenna or Hordak is shown from the back.
