Behind the Scenes[]
- Script was approved February 15, 1985 and final script revision was done April 16, 1985.
- Chronologically, this story takes place after The Laughing Dragon, which introduces Sorrowful.
- This is the only time Castaspella uses the disk on her wrist to perform magic, an element which was introduced in the series bible but soon abandoned.
Continuity[]
- All the backgrounds for the village of Bluestone were previously seen as the village of Blackmoor in The Red Knight and will be used again as Valley View Castle in The Time Transformer.
- She-Ra fires a beam from the crystal in her sword at the rocks on Beast Island. The only other time she uses this ability is in He-Man and She-Ra: A Christmas Special against the Monstroids.
- Monsters on Beast Island that previously appeared on He-Man and the Masters of the Universe include Bakkull from Teela's Quest; the Cyclops from Dree Elle's Return; the Grazzler from Fisto's Forest; the Talgoth from The Rarest Gift of All and Grabber from Mistaken Identity.
