The Remedy

The Remedy is the 64th episode of He-Man and the Masters of the Universe, written by Ron and Sam Schultz and directed by Bill Reed. Rohad, the former mentor of Man-At-Arms, falls ill, and He-Man must face great perils in the Crystal Mountains to locate a cure.

Teela: "Today Man-At-Arms and He-Man showed us the true meaning of friendship. When Rohad was sick, Man-At-Arms rushed to his side and did everything in his power to help and He-Man risked his life to assist Man-At-Arms. Script was approved June 13, 1983 and final script revision took place June 21, 1983.
The dragon like Takdryl is a reuse of Warlock from the 1981 Filmation cartoon series [https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Blackstar_(TV_series) Blackstar', colored red.
In his storyboards, Michel Swanigan suggested that the character design of Balkar from Filmations Blackstar could be reused to serve as Mitro's character model.

Continuity[]

The animation model of the octopus will be used again in Trouble in Trolla and the She-Ra: Princess of Power episode Friendship.
He-Man's dive into the water was previously seen in Wizard of Stone Mountain.
The animated sequence of He-Man swinging on vines and flipping over a large branch was based on a piece of animation from Filmations Tarzan, Lord of the Jungle and will be seen again in Capture the Comet Keeper.
