The Sea Gate

The Sea Gate is the fifth episode of She-Ra and the Princesses of Power. It was released on Netflix with the rest of the first season on November 13, 2018.

Synopsis[]

The squad heads for the water realm of Salineas, ruled by Princess Mermista, but first they need a ship. Catra sets sail with Force captain Scorpia.

Plot[]

Adora, Glimmer and Bow head to Salineas to convince Princess Mermista to join the Princess Alliance. Needing a ship, they charter the services of Captain Sea Hawk who claims to know Mermista personally. Meanwhile, Shadow Weaver sends Force Captains Catra and Scorpia with a crew to attack the Salineas Sea Gate. With the Sea Gate failing, She-Ra uses the Sword of Protection to repair the mystical barrier while her friend and new allies defeat the Horde forces.

Trivia[]

Adora first meets Sea Hawk in Seaworthy, just like she did in the She-Ra: Princess of Power episode The Sea Hawk.
Sea Hawk mentions the town of GaleBreath, which appeared in the original series episode A Loss for Words and that he arm wrestled a Tyrosaur, a creature that appeared in Friendship.
A different, underwater version of Mermista's home Salineas appeared in The Pearl.
