The Talismans Three are a collection of three magical artifacts that appear in the Masters of the Universe comicbooks mini-series by DC Comics.
During a skirmish with Skeletor, the Goddess used her magic to send both halves of the Power Sword into unknown dimensions. Skeletor then took the Goddes hostage and forced He-Man to seek out The Talismans Three, so he could use them to locate the swords again.
He-Man was aware that the first talisman, adorned with an image of a cosmic Star Cluster, was in the posession of the old wizard Tarrak, who resided in the Royal Palace of Eternia. The wizard had always thought the ancient talisman was but a mere trinket bearing the shape of Nexus Constellation. Unfortunately, when He-Man and Teela arrived in Tarrak's quarters, they found him being attacked by a slew of demons. Only with the help of Man-At-Arms did they manage to fend off the demons, but the fiends fled with the talisman. He-Man realizes that yet another party is searching for the Talismans, and that it has to be someone else than Skeletor.
Shortly thereafter, Stratos of Avion arrived at the palace seeking refugy from attacking Beastmen riding dragons. Tarrak cast a spell to make Stratos temporarilly invisible to the naked eye, causing the Beastmen to give up their chase. He-Man was delighted to notice that Stratos was wearing the second Talisman, the one with the sign of the bird around his neck.[1]
He-Man used the second talisman to lead him and Battle Cat deep into the jungles to locate the new hiding place of the first talisman. His old comrade Ceril pointed him in the right direction and helped He-Man and his mighty tiger face off the army of demons long enough for them to enter a mysterious cave where the demons had hidden the amulet of the Star Cluster.
Meanwhile, Man-At-Arms, Teela, and Stratos ventured into a temple deep underneath the Sea of Blackness to retrieve the third amulet, known as the Fish Talisman. In order to survive for a limited time underwater, all three of them drank a magic potion provided by the wizard Tarrak. However, they faced so much opposition from the army of underwater dwellers that they almost ran out of time before reaching their goal.
Luckily for them, as soon as Stratos managed to touch the talisman, all three heroes were instantly transported to another dimension where they could safely breathe once more, but found themselves floating around in nothingness and facing another horde of demonds. He-Man, after touching the second talisman, had ended up in the same place, and the heroes were soon joined by the Cosmic Enforcer, Zodac.[2]
Zodac threw the Talismans Three to Zoar, the mystic falcon and soon the heroes were transported into Castle Grayskull, where Skeletor had already recovered both halves of the Power Sword and defeated the mysterious third party who had been hindering the heroes quest all along: the demonic Damon. Zoar joined in the battle against Skeletor, who was ultimately defeated, after which the two halves of the Power Sword were once more seperated and scatered. The Talismans Three were not again spoken of by any concerned.[3]
