"The Terror of Tri-Klops!" is a minicomic from the Masters of the Universe toy line, written by Gary Cohn with art by Mark Texeira and Tod Smith. It was included with the Tri-Klops action figure.
Synopsis[]
Skeletor teleports Tri-Klops, the Hunter, into his underground lair and challenges him to destroy He-Man. As 'payment', he promises him that they'll rule Eternia together afterwards. He-Man, Teela, Ram-Man and the Battle Cat enjoy the sun and the silence. But Skeletor magically lures Battle Cat away from the others and Tri-Klops knocks it out in a cave. The same thing happens to Ram-Man. He-Man and Teela are just about to get 'more intimate' with each other when Tri-Klops attacks them. Teela is immediately struck down. He-Man is blinded by a flash of light from Tri-Klops' eye. But he recovers and beats the mercenary up. Skeletor wants to punish Tri-Klops for losing the fight, but he notices with his 'far vision' and disappears mysteriously.

Notes[]
- This minicomic was produced for Mattel by DC Comics. According to comic book editor Dave Manak as stated on one of the letter pages published in part three of DC's 1982 Motu mini-series, Within these Walls.. Armageddon, this tale can be considered to be the same continuity as the pre-crisis DC Comics.[1]
- This is the first minicomic in which Battle Cat has the ability to speak, like he did in the DC comics.
- Skeletor does not yet use Snake Mountain as his base, instead he has a secret lair deep in the caverns that honeycomb the land uncerneath Eternia.[2]
- Tri-Klops and, to a lesser extend, Ram-Man are drawn to resemble early design concepts, which were different from the finished toys. Unlike his toy version, all three of Tri-Klops's eyes are drawn the same shape and size.
- Upon first meeting Skeletor, Tri-Klops calls him "Skull-Face" and later simply "Skull".
- Tr-Klops mentions that Beast-Man has a stinking pelt. Despite of this, he still thinks it would make a handsome wall-hanging for his sleeping chamber.
- Tri-Klops has already heard of He-Man. He calls Ram-Man a "Lumbering Dunderhead" as well as "Numskull" and "Simpleton".
- He-Man intones "May the Goddess have mercy upon you..."
- Tri-Klops has four uses for his three eyes: panoramic vision, night vision, far-seeing vision and a light beam to blind opponents.[3]
- Tri-Klops goes by an honor code in this tale. When he finds himself betrayed by Skeletor, he warns He-Man of impending danger and disappears by his own devices.
