The Time Wheel is the 97th episode of He-Man and the Masters of the Universe, based on a story by Mel Gilden, adapted for television by Gilden and Larry DiTillio, and directed by Bill Reed. Orko and He-Man discover a time machine and inadvertently summon forth an ancient king who is extremely displeased to learn that King Randor now sits on his throne.

Or into the future where we could see some of the wondrous things yet to come. Well, we don't have a magic time wheel, not yet anyway. But we do have some things just about as good. They're called books. Reading books can be your time wheel to just about any time or place you choose. Why don't you give them a try? You'll be glad you did."

Behind the Scenes[]
- Script was approved June 25, 1984 and final script revision took place September 13, 1984.
- The animation model for King Tamusk was designed by character artist Charles Zembillas.
- Charles Zembillas designed the different costumes that Orko conjures up for King Randor at the end of the story.
Continuity[]
- The character model for King Tarmusk is a recolored and reused version of King Barbo from The Shadow of Skeletor.
- The effects animation used for the Time Wheel will be seen again when the Earth visitor's ship hops dimensions in Visitors from Earth.
- The footage of the Royal Guards attacking King Tamusk on their Sky-Sleds is reused from the episode Diamond Ray of Disappearance and once again shows the Guards with bare legs instead of the usual green leggings.
- The first half of the animated sequence that shows He-Man punching the wall is based on the punch animated by Tom Sito first seen in the episode The Heart of a Giant.
Errors[]
- When Tamusk escapes from the lab, the turn crank for the time wheel is blue, while in all other shots it is yellow.
