Teela, Ork-0, and King Randor venture underground to seek refuge with Teela's former mentor — and prevent him from making a fateful deal with Skeletor. Unfortunately, they are stopped by Man-E Faces’ monsters, who says that Randor lies as all kings do when he tells Teela that he is the only king of Eternos.

Meanwhile back at Avion, Stratos wonder if he should knock, but ultimately decides not to since even though he let Prince Adam, and his friends stay, it is still his kingdom. Unfortunately, it is at that moment that Adam's Wind Raider makes itself visible, and ends up hitting Stratos in the process. Once on board, Stratos asks where Adm and the other warriors are headed. Cringer replies that they are going to The Fright Zone since Hiss's sigil was crafted on the spot where Snake Mountain was eventually built. Stratos wonder out loud, why he has to do that. To which Kras responds that he certainly wasn't invited. Adam reminds his friend that she needs to be more diplomatic, and proceeds to say that their goal is to stop Skeletor from finding the sigil, and raising an army of snake soldiers from the dead. Later, Krass asks Adam if being diplomatic means he lets Stratos walk all over him.

Back at Eternia, Skeletor is looking at the portrait of King Grayskull, and rethorically asks him why he didn't use the sigil's power to raise armies of his own. He wonders where the deceased King Grayskull hid the Sigil of Hiss, and after unintentionally passing his Havoc Staff on the portrait, he discovers some hidden drawings on it.

Back at Man-E-Faces' domain, King Randor is imprisoned in a hanging cage, while Ork-O tries in vain to learn some magic. Teela then reveals that "Manny" used to be the whole royal troupe, but has been living below Eternia since Randor's parents released him of his royal duties. When Randor realizes that Manny has been doing his job as king in taking care of all his subjects. Later, Manny reveals he will be handing Randor over to Skeletor in exchange for supplies and penalty. But Tela warns him that he shouldn't trust Skeletor. Randor then pleads with Manny and the other to trust him, as he vows to make things better for all of them. Manny though still doesn't trust Randor. Tela then suggests that she talk some sense to Manny, and Randor agrees.

Once Adam and his friends arrive at the Fright Zone, Cringer state that temples such as as the one on Snake Mountain, have tunnels to vaults and workshops hidden near where their leaders nested. Before they can come up with a plan, Stratos flies upward, and Duncan voices how their new ally isn't much of a team player.

Teela asks Manny how long he has known her, to which the machine part of him replies that it's been 16 years and 9 months. Teela then reminds him how he took her in when she was all lost and alone. Manny then jumps off his makeshift throne, and yells out that Teela left him. But she calmly explains that she landed a gig, and that he of all people should be able to respect that. Teela then mentions how she came back because she needs Manny's help. But it needs to be the real Manny, not the roles you play. Manny reminds her that the people below need these roles more than the people above ever did. Because they need his help to make their chaotic world make sense. Not to mention, to protect them from the real monsters in the world above! However, Teela tells Many, that Randor isn't a monster. But Skeletor is, and she can guarantee him, that he'll lose everything he's built for the people down here if they try to make a deal with him.

It looks like Tella is getting through to Manny, but eventually, he switches faces, and states that the problems of the world above do not concern the people below. An explosion is then heard, followed by Beast Man breaking into Manny's domain. Manny replies that additional betrayal was not unexpected. But Teela reveals that Beast Man isn't with them, and that he's actually Skeletor's hunter. As a result, Manny lunges at Beast Man stating that the hunter shall now become the prey.

Elsewhere, Krass, asks Adam how soon were he was planning on springing that trap on Skeletor, the one where they bait him then break his staff. Adam replies that it would be as soon as we find the sigil, I guess. Unfortunately, the two friends see Skeletor in the distance making his way to where they are at.

Meanwhile, Skeletor is livid at finding out that his nephew, along with his friends and the castle survived.

Adam for his part is perplexed at how Skeletor found them, as they didn't even power up. But Cringer reminds them that Skeletor is after the same clue that they are.

Without waiting for the other, Stratos volunteer to Skeletor down and flies off before the others can stop him.

Adam then orders Cringer and Duncan to find the clue while Krass and him keep Stratos from getting himself hurt.

Skeletor sees someone flying towards him, and asks Evil-Lyn if He-Man can fly now.

He exasperatedly stays how he "just can't with this kid".

Evil-Lyn realizes that it isn't He-Man, but Stratos, King of the Avion. But before he he say anything more, Skeletor shoots him down.

She reminds Skeletor that Eternos cannot afford a war with the Avion armada.

Later, while fighting Ram Ma'am, Skeletor taunts him, by askign her if she's ever wondered where the jewel in her helmet came from? But when she asks why, he doesn't answer.

Elsewhere, when Teela transforms into the Sorceress, Manny realizes she has taken on a second role as well. But all she says to him is that she is the same witch, just with new spells.

With Ork-O's help, Randor manages to land ontop of Beast-Man (cage and all).

Once Beast-Man fleas, Teela detransforms, and reminds Manny and Randor that they can't stay at this location any longer, since once Skeletor knows their position, they are all as good as captured.

Manyy has her spread the word that they migrate within the hour.

Back at the Fright Zone, He-Man and the other masters of the univer get the first piece of the sigil. Skeletor asks for a trade, since he is holding on Stratos. He-Man doesn't take the bait, and instead asks Skeletor to hand over King Stratos and the staff and they might let him walk back to Snake Mountain on his own.

Evil-Lyn pleads with Skeletor to keep Avion out of the fight, but he refuses to listen. Thus, she uses her magic to transport herself and Skeletor away from from He-Man.

As a result of her action, an angry Skeletor rips Evil-Lyn's staff in half, and she detransforms. He then spits out to get out of his sight.

Later, Skeletor has Trap-Jaw deploy the Tri-Klops, which unbeknownst to Teela, Randor and the others, cloaks itself invisible and begins to follow them.
