Torgs are a race of creatures native to Eternia. Small in stature, yet very muscular, they live in underground caves.
In ancient times, the Torgs were an almost unstoppable force thanks to their so called "prince of destruction", the demonic creature known as Molkrom. The Elders used their magic to imprison Molkron in crystal, deep in the caves in which the Torgs live.
Centuries later, the Torgs were all but forgotten by the surface dwelling populace of Eternia. Now led by King Von, they contacted Skeletor and asked him to free Molkrom. When Skeletor's magic failed, he concluded he needed something that posessed the power of the Elders. Von was aware that one such item was the Staff of Avion and that it just happened to be used during a yearly celebration in Avion at that time.
Von and his Torgs attacked Avion in their flying Torg Ships and Von himself managed to grab both the staff and it's wielder, Stratos with a large claw portruding from his ship. Skeletor put a spell on Stratos and forced him to tell him how to use the staff to find the weakness in the crystal that held Molkrom. After releasing the demon, Skeletor left the staff in the care of Von and went to attack Castle Grayskull with Molkrom.
King Von stashed the staff in an underground vault, but Teela managed to sneak in. Despite having both the staff and a large club at his command, Von was defeated and tied up by Teela. Eventually, the Staff, having depleted it's evil energy without taking half of Eternia with it, was returned into the care of Stratos and Molkrom was imprisoned in crystal again.

- According to a map of Castle Grayskull that was created for the Masters of the Universe Classics toy line, Molkrom, imprisoned in crystal, was kept for safekeeping at Grayskull after the battle depected in Reign of the Monster.
