Two-Badd as seen in the Mike Young Productions animated series He-Man and the Masters of the Universe (2002).
History[]
Tuvar (blue) and Baddrah (purple), were bounty hunters hired by Skeletor to destroy He-Man, but were highly reluctant to work together given their long-standing rivalry. While Tuvar was more intelligent and cunning, while Baddrah was more reckless and fearsome, as the two would clash over how to combine their own efforts.
After they failed in their attempt to work together, leading to He-Man's escape, Skeletor would punish them by actually binding them together into one body with his magic. as the two hated their new form and immediately began arguing with one another and blaming each other for their current predicament[1]. Later on, Two-Badd would attempt to search of the lost spell of separation, hoping to divide themselves back into two separate beings. When the spell would backfire and began to cause bad destruction across Eternia, Two-Badd abandoned the scheme and fled[2].
Behind the Scenes[]
- Two-Badd was originally going to feature in the 2002 series right from the beginning and was part of the original scripts for the earlier episodes. However, when one of the writing team suggested the possible origin for him as two rival bounty hunters, story editor Dean Stefan liked the idea and decided to base a whole episode around it, omitting Two-Badd from the early scripts to be introduced in "The Monster Within".[3]
