Tyrin's Spider is a creature from the 1983 animated series He-Man and the Masters of the Universe.
History[]
After Lord Tyrin awakened from his centuries long sleep, he came into contact with a giant spider and decided it could be useful to him as he attempted to restore the ruins of his castle to their former glory.
When Tyrin's wife, Lady Valtira finally awoke, she, unlike Tyrin had lost none of her good looks. Tyrin became jealous upon seeing his wife interacting with young Prince Adam, and ordered his spider to use it's powerful webbing to snatch Valtira's pet, Sago, and then Valtira heself. While Adam ran off, he was soon replaced by the even more musclular He-Man, who rescued both Sago and Valtira.
Tyrin followed Valtira and He-Man into the ruins. When he noticed Teela wandering about, he had the spider capture her in a large web. He-Man was also caught off guard and briefly captured in a similar web. However, he soon broke free. Then Lord Tyrin ordered the spider to attack He-Man, but the Heroic Warrior simply ducked out of it's way.
When Tyrin decided to drain the largest vines in the middle of the castle, it caused the entire structure to collapse. The spider made sure to back out of the wreckage before it was completely destroyed.
