- Script was approved Janurary 9, 1985 and final script revisions were done March 8, 1985. This was the first episode to commence production in 1985.
- The animation of She-Ra pointing her magic sword at the camera and ordering it to transform into a shield would be used again in Swifty's Baby.
- In a sequence cut from the original script, after General Sunder injures his leg, She-Ra was to order her sword to transform itself into a crutch.
